About Omaegisul Liquor 

To make Omaegisul Liquor, we need to make Omaegi rice cake. Mix hulled glutinous millets and water to make dough, flatten the dough and make it to a round shape and boil it in hot water. Put Omaegi rice cake in a jar with yeast powder and Jeju clean water and wait about one week for aging and fermentation. There will be a lot of water on the top and is called Cheongju or Omaegisul Liquor; the settlement on the bottom is strained and the final product is called millet makgeolli.  

Millet liquor is separated and distilled using a traditional method to make Gosorisul Liquor, the Jeju soju.
